I decided early in my career to record my journey and this website is the result of many hours of logging data.
One thing is for sure. Time passes quickly on this job. So I choose to enjoy the learning process and share what I have learned along the way.

When I Grew Up!
I realized how little I knew on September 11, 2001. I realized my survival was my responsibility. I had been depending on the experience of others for most of my career. I figured if I went to a busy fire company, everything would take care of itself. I was wrong. I started turning my attention on making the learning process simple and fun. I developed a system that worked for me and sought out teachers that could help me understand the information I had been gathering and storing.
The information keeps making it into my computer. Once I get it I can teach it to anyone. Understanding that at any moment the s**t can and will hit the fan and luck has just as much a factor in the art of staying safe on the fire ground as any other factor, but knowledge will increase your chances in staying safer throughout your career. I will continue to store and share my style with whoever thinks it can help them as it has helped me.
